(Dallas-AP) -- Defending Big 12 women's basketball champion Oklahoma is the choice of conference coaches to win the title again.

Oklahoma State is picked ninth in the voting by the conference's head coaches.

O-U's Stacey Dales is picked to repeat as the conference's Player of the Year and is a member of the pre-season All-Big 12 Conference team. Dales is the only O-U or O-S-U player on the pre-season all-conference team.

The Sooners were named on eight of 12 first place ballots and are followed in the poll by Texas Tech. The Red Raiders picked up three first place votes. Iowa State is third in the poll and received the final first place vote.

Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team or players.
