(Stillwater) - Oklahoma State coach Les Miles says his team needs to sustain its effort.
The Cowboys started out well against Texas last weekend, taking a 10-nothing lead in the first quarter. Then the fun began ... for Texas. The Longhorns scored 31 second-quarter points, thanks in part to three O-S-U turnovers, and wound up winning 45-to-17.
Miles says his team comes out prepared to play, but sometimes loses its focus. He says his team must learn that teams will gain momentum throughout a game.
Miles says it's then that his team must make plays to win the game. He says the letdowns haven't happened in every game, but have been obvious in the past two.
Against Missouri two weeks ago, the Cowboys let a two-touchdown lead and wound up losing in triple overtime.
