Oklahoman's Emergency Management Director talks about visit to Ground Zero in NYC

Oklahoma's director of Civil Emergency Management has spent the past two weeks at Ground Zero. Albert Ashwood just returned to Oklahoma and is sharing his experience and some of his pictures.

Ashwood helped coordinate response and recovery efforts. He says the extent of the Trade Center rubble, and the number of people killed, sets the terrorist attack far apart from the Oklahoma City bombing. "You can't get a full picture of how large an area you're talking about until you're down there. I think that's the difference between OKC and New York. If you basically stood at the foot of the debris pile, and walked around the debris, you're talking about well over an hour's walk."

Ashwood says now is the time to continue to look at Oklahoma's emergency response procedures and fine tune those in case something happens here.
