(Dallas-AP) -- Third-ranked Oklahoma will be well-rested for its Big 12 opener against Number eleven Kansas State. But will the 3-and-0 Sooners be sharp -- after two straight Saturdays without games?
The terrorist attacks led to the postponement of all Division One-A games on September 15th. Then Oklahoma had a scheduled open date last weekend.
O-U coach Bob Stoops says he believes the extra time helped the Sooners because the guys are chomping at the bit to play.
Oklahoma and Kansas State play the highlight game on a weekend when Big 12 play gets into full swing. Baylor plays at Iowa State, Nebraska goes to Missouri, and Texas Tech plays at Texas. There are two non-conference matchups, with Texas A-M playing Notre Dame and Oklahoma State hosting Northwestern State.
