Many leaders are saying prayer will help the nation through this American tragedy. Since you can't really make sense of the devastation, some say "faith" is the only way to cope. Students across Green Country were doing just that.
Wednesday, KOTV visited Union High School and Bixby High School, where students gathered at the flagpole for special before-school prayers. Students say Wednesday's event was different this year. Amanda Laubach, Union High sophomore: "Just prayer was just so meaningful this morning, and just so sincere. We just call on God to help us through this." Another Union student, Angie Jackson, "I just think believe it's an awesome opportunity for everybody to lean on God at this time, especially with our nation going through what it is going through."
There is also a Christian concert and gathering Wednesday evening at the Oral Roberts Mabee Center. They call it, "See you 'after' the pole."
