Those who can, teach. And a high school teacher from Sand Springs is the state's newest shining example.

Oklahoma’s selection committee named Charles Page High School teacher Mike Bynum, Oklahoma Teacher of the Year. Bynum has been teaching chemistry and physics, and coaching basketball for seven years.

School officials presented Bynum with his title Tuesday at the State Fair in Oklahoma City. As teacher of the year, he’ll receive more than $6,000 in prize money, plus the use of a new car and cell phone for the year!
