The best women golfers in the world are in Tulsa for the LPGA Championship. Tulsa city workers have been hauling trash, paving roads and trimming brush, all in an effort to beautify the Tulsa Country Club area.

Some residents who live near the Club say the city recently sent them zoning violation notices, giving them ten days to clear their property of cars, tools and other items. After ten days, those who didn't satisfy inspectors had their property cleared by the city. Melody Rayhart says the city's priorities are out of order. “If they have a problem with it; the neighborhood has a problem with it, fine. The neighborhood can go to them and say something about it. But it's none of the city's business."

Jeannie McDaniel with the City of Tulsa Neighborhoods, "The goal here is to make them feel good about their area, have it look nice, and have it stay this way. Not just for this tournament, but from now on."

If you need help meeting city code, you can give McDaniel a call at 596-7139.
