VEHICLE stolen with kids inside, both car and kids recovered

A scare for a Tulsa family when their vehicle is stolen, with 2 kids inside. Police say a woman stopped at the Creekside Apartments in East Tulsa and was talking to friends in the parking lot around 11:30 Thursday night.

She left the car running with her 1-year-old and 9-day old child inside. Tulsa Police Captain Nick Hondros, "As she was talking with friends about 12 feet from the car, a gold Jeep Cherokee pulled up occupied by three to four males, one of the males exited the Jeep Cherokee, entered her Ford Thunderbird and fled the scene. A friend of the woman gave chase to both vehicles. They ended up losing the car.

Officers got involved and found it abandoned with the kids inside a few miles away about an hour later. Both kids are fine. Police are still looking for the suspects.
