There's a new place for the mentally ill to find treatment. The 26-bed center is in a wing of the old Doctor's Hospital at 23rd and Harvard.

Hillcrest Health systems, which owns the building, has agreed to provide the space to the Department of Mental Health for four months. After that, officials hope a long-term plan can be in place to provide inpatient services for the mentally ill.
