(Stillwater-AP) -- Amy Gusso has been named an assistant women's basketball coach at Oklahoma State.

Gusso will be responsible for on-the-floor coaching. She'll also be primarily in charge of day-to-day recruiting responsibilities.

Gusso spent last season as an assistant under former Cowgirl coach Rae Rippetoe-Blair at Texas-San Antonio. Prior to that, she was an assistant at Nebraska-Kearney.

Gusso played four years at Nebraska, where she earned Academic All-Big 12 honors in 1997 and 1998.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Nebraska in 1998. Gusso went on to receive her master's degree in sports administration from Nebraska-Kearney last summer.
