There's a new home for Tulsa's Fire Station # 22. The fire station held a grand opening celebration Thursday at its new building in East Tulsa.

The station moved from its original location to a mile down the road in an effort to be in the center of the district. Neighbors in the area say they welcome it with open arms. Kathy Sebert with the neighborhood association, "There's a sense of security and safety in having them a little bit closer we can do that for the area around here by hosting them here in our neighborhood. We're thrilled their here and it will give us better fire service in the future."

The station now sits in the 7300 block of east 15th street.
