MONEY raised to move Bixby's prairie dogs to Broken Arrow

Resolution for the prairie dogs in Bixby. The prairie dogs are as good as packed up Tuesday night, since corporate sponsors and individual donors raised more $1,500 to move the little critters to a new home.

A group of supporters met Tuesday at the Simple Simons in Bixby. It was there that Citidel Security, Tulsa Websites and Simple Simons each gave $500 to see the dogs safely moved to their new digs. Marcia Cowen, Prairie Dog Supporter: "In my wildest dreams I don't think we'd get it this quickly. 50 and you know there's going to be little things that come up that will require more, but we are just flabbergasted. I mean they are going to start their new home Wednesday."

The prairie dogs will be transferred to three acres of land behind the Peach House in Broken Arrow.
