Residents in Bartlesville and Dewey have a new holiday this summer. Business owners are scheduling a break from paying state and local sales tax.

A number of businesses have signed up to participate in "No Sales Tax Saturday" scheduled for August 4th. Chamber officials hope to bring the total number of businesses to near 100.

Participating stores will give customers a discount equal to the state and local taxes that would normally be charged. The stores will pick up the bill for the taxes and send it to the city and state.
