(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma will be making its first appearance in the Rose Bowl when the Sooners play Washington State on New Year's Day.

But coaches Bob and Mike Stoops have been there before, although they're still looking for their first win.

The Stoops were members of the Iowa team that lost to Washington 28-to-nothing in the 1982 Rose Bowl.

Both have also been assistant coaches on Rose Bowl teams, but haven't won.
