As a way of cost cutting, the city of Tulsa is still looking at how 950 city owned vehicles are being used. City Councilor Bill Christiansen wants a policy requiring department heads to keep records of vehicle use.
He wants to know who's assigned to each vehicle and why employees take them home.
Christensen believes the city could save as much as $3-million over the next ten years by watching vehicle use.
