(Tulsa-AP) -- Shares of WilTel Communications Group began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market Thursday after months of trading over the counter.

The price of the stock rose 2%, or 20 cents, to $12.80 per share. The company's stock had been sold over the counter since Williams Communications filed for bankruptcy on April 22nd.

The company recently emerged from bankruptcy under the new name
WilTel Communications and trades under the symbol WTEL
