This year's traffic death total still leads 2001 but the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says far fewer people died on state roads this month than did in November a year ago.
As of today 657 people were killed in state traffic accidents so far this year. That's up from 630 this time last year. The patrol says 48 people have died in November with only a few hours left in the month. There were 79 traffic deaths in November 2001.
