A young man from Tulsa is looking past Thanksgiving and getting ready for a major competition in New York.
Andrew Charrier will be competing in the US Junior Figure Skating Championships in Lake Placid next month. The 12 year old recently placed first in regional competition in Kansas City.
Andrew described his practice schedule during an appearance on Six in the Morning Tuesday, "on Sunday, I drive down to Oklahoma City and I wake up at three on Monday and skate for two hours then I come back here and go to school and then on Tuesday I drive back down and skate for an hour then I go to bed and get back up and skate again on Wednesday morning and then I come back here and then Thursday..." You get the idea.
Andrew's skating idols are Scott Hamilton and Brian Boitano.
