(Stilwell-AP) -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the shooting death of a deer hunter near Stilwell.

Rodney Hart was found dead early Monday by searchers looking for him after he failed to return home from a Sunday hunting trip with a friend.

The friend, whose name wasn't released, says he and Hart separated and he thought Hart might have killed a deer and went somewhere to field dress it.

The friend says he became worried when Hart failed to return home and went searching for him with a group of friends. They found Hart's body about 6 Monday morning.

OSBI spokeswoman Kym Koch says an accidental shooting hasn't been ruled out, but the death is being treated as suspicious.
