An investigation is underway into an accidental police shooting. It happened around eleven o'clock Monday evening near Pine and Yorktown when a man drove through a perimeter police set up on a shooting call.

The man apparently had outstanding warrants and ran off on foot. When officers caught up with him, the suspect jumped, causing an officers service pistol to go off. The suspect was shot in the hip, he was treated at the hospital before going to jail on the outstanding warrants.

No one else was hurt.
