An attorney representing cockfighters in the state has asked for and got another temporary restraining order against state question 687, which banned cockfighting.
Thursday, a district judge issued the injunction for Muskogee, Sequoyah and Adair counties. Documents show the injunction will be in effect until a hearing December 19th.
Three other counties in southeastern Oklahoma already have a temporary restraining order. They are McCurtain, Pushmataha and Choctaw counties.
A hearing on that injunction is set for Monday.
