A campaign to "Buy Broken Arrow" has lost its biggest sponsor, but not its holiday spirit.

The campaign is about to kick off its 8th year. Local merchants came together to give away raffle tickets for a $10,000 jackpot. The idea is to generate more interest in local holiday shopping. But for the first time, Wal-Mart is not taking part.

The campaign was able to salvage the jackpot, but they now say they have almost no money to promote it. Many residents wonder why Wal-Mart has backed out. BA resident, "Cause when you go over there, the parking lot is full people are spending their money, why shouldn't they help out." Another resident, "As this huge company in the nation and Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Y'know I would think they'd feel obligated to keep the business, not that they probably need it.”

The campaign's chairperson says she's not mad at Wal-Mart, she just wishes they'd let them know sooner.
