(Oklahoma City-AP) -- State lawmakers will meet in a special session on Monday to address planned furloughs of state prison employees.
Legislative leaders and Governor Keating agreed Wednesday to appropriate $9.8-million in emergency funds to the Department of Corrections.
Corrections officials had announced the furloughs as a way to cut costs because of a state budget shortfall.
Keating says the one day session will be only about corrections funding and will not address cuts to other agencies budgets.
