ANTLERS, Okla. (AP) _ An electrical fire destroyed a barn near Antlers Thursday, killing 150 dogs that were caged inside, authorities said.

The roof on the 400-foot converted horse barn collapsed on the dogs, many of them puppies, said Richard Cooper, spokesman for the State Fire Marshal's Office.

``They couldn't save anything,'' he said.

Wind loosened an electrical wire running to the barn, allowing it to hit the barn and rub off its insulation, Cooper said. The fire started in the roof.

The barn, owned by Clyde Taylor Jr., also contained tractor and farm equipment.

Cooper said the southeastern Oklahoma property was a kennel operation.

``They have puppy farms out there _ a lot of them,'' he said.
