(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A California congressman has visited Tinker Air Force Base to study the possibility of launching full-scale strikes on Iraq.
San Diego Republican Duncan Hunter toured the base with Oklahoma Congressman Ernest Istook yesterday.
Hunter is the vice chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and is expected to become the chairman of the committee in January.
Hunter says he's interested to see how attacks on Iraq could be carried out by Tinker Air Force Base.
Istook and Hunter also discussed building a maintenance and aircraft facility for military, commercial repairs.
