(Norman-AP) -- University of Oklahoma regents are expected to make their first decisions this week on development of a 67-million dollar National Weather Center.
The center will house both OU's meteorology department and federal research programs of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Regents will consider design development phase plans. Construction documents will be prepared if the plans are approved and advertising for bids will be authorized.
Recommendation on a contractor could come by next spring. OU officials hope the building will completed by 2006.
