(Springdale, Arkansas-AP) -- Auditors looking into the elimination of a swine division of Tyson Foods have completed their review of records related to swine contracts

The U-S Department of Agriculture initiated the probe last week. It was a response to the company's plans to sever contracts with 132 hog farmers in Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.

Tyson spokesman Ed Nicholson says auditors left Friday morning.

The inspectors were from the U-S-D-A's Grain Inspection, Packer and Stockyard Administration division. Agriculture Department spokesman Jerry Redding says the size of the cuts made an investigation necessary.

He says the investigation would probably take a week.

The cuts affect 132 contract growers in Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
