Tulsa union workers Tuesday came to the aid of 53 Indian workers stranded in Tulsa.

The Transport Workers Union Local 514 presented a $5,000 check to the workers Tuesday afternoon. The workers are in Tulsa awaiting the outcome of a federal lawsuit they filed against their former employer, The John Pickle Company. One of the workers was happy with the money. "It's good help for us because this money goes back to our families in India."

John McDonald with Local 514, “e made this donation for the working families who, in our opinion, were abused by corporate America, namely Pickle Company." The Indian workers say the Pickle Company held them as virtual slaves.

Local 514 represents mechanics and related workers at American Airlines' maintenance facility.
