OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) __ Three Californians are charged in Oklahoma with trying to defraud Bank One branches in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

Tuc Dal Nguyen, 24, of San Jose, Rosie Thelma Trevino, 58, of Moreno Valley and Julia Ann Zhang, 39, of Baldwin Park each face five felony counts, including a conspiracy charge, authorities said Monday.

The three are accused of conspiring to use counterfeit credit cards and drivers licenses to pass fake payroll checks.

They were arrested Friday while trying to pass a counterfeit check at a Bank One branch in Oklahoma City, according to Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane.

Authorities confiscated 24 counterfeit checks, fraudulent IDs and bogus credit cards.

There is also evidence the three may have operated in Utah and Colorado, according to Lane spokeswoman Deborah Forshee.

They had hotel receipts and maps of banks in the Denver and Salt Lake City areas, Forshee said.

Nguyen and Trevino are now free on bond while Zhang remains jailed in Oklahoma County in lieu of bond, Forshee said.
