Oklahoma's Amber Alert System is being put to the test.
Governor Keating wants to put electronic signs into use, calling that the next step in improving our system.
Friday he announced that from now on, the same information sent to every broadcast outlet in the state will also be flashed on electronic signs.
Some are already up in Oklahoma City... and they're coming to Tulsa.
Bob Ricks with the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety says,"They can immediately put an alert announcing in effect that a child is missing, that we have an Amber Alert in progress, be on the lookout for a particular auto with a description and a licsnse plate if one is available."
The state hopes to have 18 signs in use by next spring.
