In Sapulpa, they are getting ready to open the town’s first new school in more than 30-years.
A bond issue passed in 2000, paid for the $5.7-million facility. Parents, students and faculty members gathered for a dedication ceremony over the weekend. One mom, Marsha Ferrell says she it will be nice to have all the classes under one roof. "It's nice to have it all in one building - at the old school it was separated in pre-fab buildings, and this is a lot nicer."
Sapulpa students return to school on August 20th.
