The Tulsa Ballet is preparing to leave next week for its international debut in Portugal and last night Mayor LaFortune hosted a send-off celebration.

Dancers offered a preview of some of the works they'll perform at an international arts festival in Sintra, Portugal.

Tulsa Ballet is the only U-S ballet company invited. Companies performing in recent years include New York City Ballet and London's Royal Ballet.

Governor Keating and a delegation of state business leaders will go along to explore trade opportunities with Portuguese companies.
Dancers leave Monday for Portugal... where they'll perform over two weekends at the festival.
