(Oklahoma City-AP) -- If you build it they will come.
But Oklahoma City is not interested in building a 20-thousand-seat outdoor arena to lure a major league soccer team to the city.
Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphreys says the city isn't prepared to build an outdoor arena for a soccer team, despite interest from Major League Soccer officials.
Officials with the MLS said last week the league would consider locating an expansion soccer team to the city if an outdoor arena could be built.
Humphreys shot the idea down, saying the city didn't have the money and there was not voter support for a tax increase.
