(Lawrence, Kansas-AP) -- Former Oklahoma high school All-State running back Marshell Chiles is leaving the University of Kansas football team.

Chiles is a sophomore from El Reno and was the Jayhawks' third-leading runner last season, gaining 133 yards in nine games.

Chiles has returned to his Oklahoma home and says he's looking for another school to attend.

Chiles would not say why he left KU, but says the parting with new Kansas coach and former University of Oklahoma offensive coordinator Mark Mangino was amicable.
