A Tulsa man is recovering from a stabbing, another man is in jail, and police are still sorting out the details.

Tulsa Police say it happened about 9:40 Thursday night. Officers were called to a home in the 400 block of East Ute. The initial report came in as a shooting. Tulsa Police Captain Jim Hunter: " When officers arrived we found the victim had been stabbed in the chest. The victim was taken to St John Medical Center and was listed in serious condition."

Police arrested the suspect after he admitted the stabbing. Officers took the man in for more questioning. Police believe the two knew each other but aren't sure what the motive was.

The names of both the victim and the suspect have not yet been released.
