Lawyers in the Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police lawsuit wrapped up their cases Wednesday afternoon.
Tulsa's police union says a decree negotiated by out-going mayor Susan Savage violates their contract. The decree followed a racial discrimination lawsuit filed by a group of black officers.
A black Sergeant testified Wednesday that he has not experienced or witnessed incidents of racial discrimination. A computer analyst testified that 53% of black officers are working in specialty areas, outside of routine street patrol.
The judge ordered both sides to continue meeting and said if a decision is not reach by August 16th, he'll re-open the hearing.
