How would you like to know where your teenager or spouse really is when they call on their cell phone?

For the first time, Redmond's AT&T Wireless will let you use your cell not only to talk, but to track the location of someone else.

It's called Find Friends.

Here's how it works: You enter the person's name, and the tracking system finds the cell tower closest to them.

That will give their general location, say within blocks, and transmits that back to you.

Find Friends User: "Every user has total control, you have to give each other permission to be on list just like instant messaging."

And what if you don't want to be found? AT&T says you can beep yourself out of the system starting at around $3 a month.
