(Tulsa-AP) -- Supporters of cockfighting in Oklahoma promise more challenges to a petition calling for a vote to prohibit the activity.
The state Supreme Court ruled last week in favor of the petition to outlaw cockfighting in Oklahoma.
James Talley with the Oklahoma Game Fowl Breeders Association says the petition doesn't have enough valid signatures of registered voters. Talley says cockfighters will continue challenging the petition.
Cockfighting remains legal only in Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico.
