(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Arena Football League is taking a second look at Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma Wranglers played in the Arena League in 2000 and 2001. But the team was dissolved in November.

Chris McCloskey, the league's vice president for communications, says there is interest in returning a franchise to Oklahoma City.

McCloskey says there's increased interest because of the city's new arena, the Ford Center. He says several team owners have already expressed interest in a team for the city.

McCloskey says Oklahoma City is a good market. He says time is running out to field a team for the 2003 season. But McCloskey says there will be a team in Oklahoma City in the future.
