The National Review Board that will oversee the enforcement of the Catholic Church's new sexual abuse policy is taking shape. Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating was named the head of the board by the nation's Catholic bishops.

Tuesday, the Governor appeared on the CBS Early Show to talk about the board. He says he expects to name several appointments later this week.

He also spoke about what an important stand the bishops took in establishing the review board. “I mean the reality is that what these bishops in Dallas did was extraordinary they asked lay people to oversee their conduct and they established for themselves the fact that one incident of misconduct in the past or the future removes the priest from the ministry. That's pretty tough.”

Meanwhile, a new CBS poll shows that 78% of Americans don't think the new sex abuse policy goes far enough to protect children for dangerous priests.
