Four days after the deadly I-40 bridge collapse, a military barge that left Tulsa also had a run-in with a bridge.
We first told you about the Oklahoma National Guard flotilla of military equipment that left the Port of Catoosa two weeks ago. Days later, at least one of the 21 barges hit a bridge and began to sink.
A 19-year-old Oklahoma National Guard member was asleep on-board the towboat at the time. Specialist Kyle Dobson of Sand Springs managed to drive more than 20 humvees and other military vehicles from the sinking barge to safety.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
