With Memorial Day nearing, it's a time to honor many, especially those who have given their lives for our country.
Williams Companies paid tribute Wednesday to veterans from all conflicts, during a noontime ceremony in downtown Tulsa. Representatives from the military branches discussed the importance of the flag, Taps, and the 21-gun salute.
One member shared her pride. Seaman Jan Dyer, U.S. Navy Reservist "I was 32 when I joined the reserves and it was one of those things that anytime they've ever played the national anthem I get very choked up and I couldn't stand by and not do anything any longer to prove my pride for America."
Memorial Day will be observed this coming Monday.
