The value of saving money is paying off for some Green Country students, one in particular, Blake Willingham is the grand prizewinner of Spirit Bank's ‘Millionaire for a Day’ contest.
It's sponsored in conjunction with their Save for America program, that encourages students to learn first-hand the benefits of saving money. Blake's big win meant he was treated to a limousine ride, shopping spree, a movie at the I-Max Theater and lunch at Casa Bonita.
He was also awarded the interest earned on $1,000,000 for a day. 1,800 students in the Sapulpa area participate in the program, so far their deposits total more than $200,000
