Concerned Catholics from Tulsa's diocese turned out to question child abuse in the church Tuesday night.
A panel of criminal, legal and medical experts addressed a standing room only crowd at the Parish of Christ the King. Clergymen also offered parishioners some reassurance by addressing the crisis in the Catholic Church.
But the focus of the meeting was geared to educate the religious community of criminal sexual abuse. Pat Duffy with Parish of Christ the King: "Members of the Catholic Church, clearly want a greater voice in the future." There are an estimated 50,000 Catholics within the Tulsa diocese.
Among those in attendance Tuesday night were members from Owasso, Broken Arrow and Tulsa.
