Texas comes from behind to win Big 12 Men's Golf Championship

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) _ Texas fired a three-round total 10-over-par 850 on Tuesday to win the Big 12 Conference Men's Golf Championship at Prairie Dunes Country Club.

The Longhorns overcame a 10-stroke deficit after the first two rounds to claim the championship. Oklahoma State shot a Big 12 Tournament third round record score of 277 to finish in second place, one stroke behind Texas at 11-over-par 851.

Oklahoma, who led the first two rounds, finished third at 13-over-par 853.

Oklahoma State's Anders Hultman won a one-hole playoff over Oklahoma's John Kidwell to claim medalist honors. Both completed regulation play with a seven-under-par 203.

The Longhorn's Jason Hartwick placed third with a 208 while the Cowboys' Hunter Mahan and the Sooners' Cody Freeman tied for fourth at 210.
