The Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Clinic has issued its first allergy alert for 2002.

High levels of grass and tree pollens are in the air. And the state has a "very high" range of mold spores. Officials say recent rains and high winds have boosted the grass and tree pollen levels into the "high" range.

It's estimated one in five Oklahomans has an allergy problem that requires medical intervention or other precautions.
