An agreement is still on to make a section of the Will Rogers Turnpike toll-free, but it will be years before it takes effect.

The Will Rogers Turnpike begins near Catoosa and the toll-free section will extend to Claremore. Despite that plan, change buckets are going in on new entrance and exit ramps connecting Highway 266 to the turnpike.

They'll be used to collect tolls until the first 13 miles of the road becomes toll-free, a plan that won't take effect for 3 to 5 years.
