A ten-year-old Tulsa girl is is showing all of us the true meaning of giving.

Kelsey Birkes recently received a $300 gift certificate from her mother's friend. The woman had lost an expensive ring and Kelsey helped find it. Instead of spending her reward on clothes or CD's, Kelsey went to a Dollar Tree store and bought $300 worth of items like toothpaste, diapers and detergent. All of it will go to Tulsa's Domestic Violence Intervention Services which helps victims of domestic abuse.

Kelsey says she doesn't think a person should be paid for just being nice. And, she says she figures others might need things more than she does.
