(DISNEY) - Other law enforcement agencies have stepped in to patrol city streets after the Disney police chief was fired, the reserve officer was forced to quit and their one remaining officer died.

Marlin Rainwater was fired as police chief two weeks ago after allegations arose that he improperly seized bottles of ``Dr. Johnson's Energy Pills'' from a store, incorrectly believing they were illegal drugs.

Officer Chuck Conners died last weekend from complications due to open heart surgery. State law prohibits the remaining reserve officer from working unless a police chief is in place.

The town is advertising for a new police chief.
