PARIS (AP) _ Three-time champion Monica Seles on Friday pulled out of the French Open, which starts next week, organizers said.
Her withdrawal was announced before the ceremony for the draw took place at Roland Garros.
Organizers did not give a reason for Seles' withdrawal.
Seles, 27, was ranked sixth in the preliminary seedings for Roland Garros. She won the French in 1990, 1991 and 1992 and reached the quarterfinals last year.
